Souls Harbour Rescue Mission exists to rescue people from poverty, addiction, and despair, by offering emergency help, such as food, clothing and shelter, life-changing recovery programs, and the Gospel message. Souls Harbour has locations in Halifax, Lower Sackville, Bridgewater, Truro, The Eastern Shore, and Sydney Mines in Cape Breton, where they serve up to 400 hot, nutritious meals combined each day. Mission Mart is their social enterprise thrift store in Bayers Lake Business Park, which is 90% run by volunteers, and a training field for MART students, a program for adults with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Souls Harbour is a registered charity, not government funded, that relies on donations from generous Nova Scotians.
